D-Day 80th Anniversary

A group of around fifteen people standing on a grass field at dusk beneath a tall pole topped with a lit beacon brazier, part of the D-Day 80th anniversary commemoration.

On 6th June 2024 Welbeck Archers were honoured to be a part of the D-Day celebrations with the villagers from Bothamsall.

The archers shot a National round, had a picnic and fish and chips. Then at 2130 they were joined by the villagers from Bothamsall, who lit the brazier donated by the parish council in honour of all the members of the armed forces who lost their lives on the 6th June 1944.
